The Allen Ministerial Alliance is an Association of Churches in Allen, Texas, which operates a food pantry to meet the needs of the hungry in our communities.  AMA Food Pantry is classified as a public charity under the Internal Revenue Code and is qualified to receive tax deductible gifts.  Therefore, donations of food and financial gifts are tax deductible to the extent permitted by IRS regulations.

During 2019, the AMA Food Pantry:

•   Each month, provided food to more than 124 families

•   For the year, provided food to 1,344 families, consisting of 5,721 people

•   Provided turkeys, hams and side dishes for Thanksgiving meals to 190 families

AMA Food Pantry is staffed entirely by Volunteers.  More than 100 active Volunteers donated more than 3,500 hours of service in 2019.  Volunteers purchase food items, stock Food Pantry shelves, fill Client food orders and interface with Clients.  Additional Volunteers are needed and always welcome.

Donations of food and financial gifts enable the AMA Food Pantry to distribute life’s essentials to those in need.

Since the AMA Food Pantry has no paid employees, nearly all the financial gifts are used to purchase the food needed for distribution.

The Food Pantry is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, TX.
